On 24th and 25th of August, the International Trade Center in Boskoop will suit up for the European garden plant retail. Among the many novelties that have been registered, visitors can discover no less than 17 novelties under Plantipp management.

Bremmer Boomkwekerijen introduces Plantarium visitors to Picea pungens 'Karpaten' PBR EU 61437: a beautiful conifer with remarkable blue colour and compact habit. Ad Vurens presents Pittosporum tenuifolium Bannow Bay ('Breebay'PBR), a compact, bushy pittosporum that shows a different leaf colour year round.

Addition to the Mad about Mangave® series
FN Kempen and Van Son & Koot introduce the latest addition to the well-known Mad about Mangave® family: Mangave 'Blazing Saddles'. An incredibly cool-looking addition to the Mad about Mangave® family, with striking green leaves with bright red dots. The entire series, including associated POS materials, can be discovered on the new website.

Strong, disease-resistant Sempervivum
Sempervivum arachnoidum 'Belsemmag1' Coconut Crystal is the latest addition to the Colorockz series: selected for its strong root system and high disease resistance. Coconut Crystal can be seen at the Belgicactus stand.

Welcome additions to Leycesteria and Lophomyrthus range
The new Leycesteria formosaLittle Lanterns ('CDC01'PBR) can be admired at the stand of Fa. Lucassen Boomkwekerij. Little Lanterns has a dwarf habit, strikingly bright golden yellow leaves and tolerates a position in the sun remarkably well. Lucassen will also display the remarkable Lophomyrthus ralphii 'Luc2016' Golden Dragon, which stands out with its striking variegated foliage.

Dwarf habit, variegated foliage and a remarkable amount of flower-power
Hoogeveen Plants will present Ficus carica 'LMF01' Little Miss Figgy with Van der Peijl Tuinplanten, a very compact, winter-hardy and drought-resistant dwarf fig. The compact, well-branched Rosa 'GEUS1713' Everglow Ruby can be discovered at the stand of Ron van Opstal Kwekerij.

Ajuga Feathered Friends® Fancy Finch (4).jpg 9.64 MB

Mulders Sierteelt introduces visitors to the new Ajuga Feathered Friends™ series, which was first available in the UK earlier this year.

Unfortunately not registered as a novelty, but let us not forget about the introduction of the incredible Tradescantia andersoniana JS® Brainstorm, bred by the well-known Jan Spruyt. This super climate-proof, hardy, easy-care plant flowers continuously for no less than 6 (!) months. And when we say flowering, we don’t just mean flowering: ‘JS® Brainstorm’ is in flower non-stop for longer than any Tradescantia so far.

Shortlist for Coreopsis Solar Jewel
The beloved Coreopsis grandiflora Solar series can be admired at Plantarium as well. Breeder Marco van Noort proudly presents the new series with masses of large flowers and high disease resistance at the Van Noort Vaste Planten stand. Coreopsis grandiflora Solar Jewel ('MVNC1902'PBR) made it to the shortlist for the Best KVB Novelty award.
