Sarcococca Purple Gem is a gem! Purple Gem is very bushy and has beautiful, deep purple-red stems. The foliage is elegant: long, shiny and dark green. In the period January – March Purple Gem gives a lot of wonderfully scented flowers. Good for biodiversity! The flowers are white with purple tips.

Purple Gem has a good root system and can be planted in any type of soil that is moist but good water permeable. Place Purple Gem in the sun or semi-shade in the garden or in a pot on balcony or terrace. Purple Gem is also very suitable for a low hedge! Pruning is not necessary but can be done after flowering. After 10 years, Purple Gem is about 75 cm high and 50 cm wide. Hardy up to -20 ºC.
