The new Perovskia atriplicifolia 'Prime Time' PBR EU 20223014, bred by Walters Gardens, received much praise during the FlowerTrials 2023. Prime Time was on display at Plantipp at location F.N. Kempen, attracting hundreds of visitors to the stand. In addition to the large, lavender-purple flower spikes and the grey-green, fragrant foliage, the potential of Prime Time, in particular, amazed visitors. “Prime Time is incredibly climate-proof,” explains Tieme at Plantipp. “Unlike many other Perovskia species, the Prime Time remains upright and strong. Rain or wind, this plant is very strong, making it suitable for landscaping and visual cultivation in a container.”

Climate-resistant and fool-proof

Perovskia Prime Time has a dense, upright habit with strong, upright stems. Perfect for hot and dry climates, but its exceptional hardiness allows it to be used in almost any environment. Prime Time has an impressive growth rate, is attractive to pollinators and requires almost no maintenance other than spring pruning. This makes Prime Time ideal for any landscape design.

The first available plants can be expected at the end of April 2024. Altanova starts production in Portugal, and @Roots will lead the Dutch cultivation. For more information, please contact [email protected]
