The year 2023 sees solutions for climate extremes coming to the retail market, but so far, none can compete with the unbelievable strength of the new Hydrangea paniculata Pink & Rose. A cultivar so strong that it will withstand the most extreme weather conditions without flopping. A cultivar that ushers in a new day for paniculata. Alex Schoemaker and Plantipp are thrilled to introduce this breeding breakthrough to the market, announcing the rise of a new generation of climate-proof, extra-strong, disease-resistant paniculata.

Can Hydrangea paniculata Pink & Rose survive a boxing match?
But is Hydrangea paniculata Pink & Rose the strongest Hydrangea ever? Time to find out. Breeder Alex Schoemaker has mimicked various circumstances to trial the strength of the new Hydrangea paniculata Pink & Rose. Will Pink & Rose manage to weather a boxing match, a heavy downpour of rain, a leaf blower and more?

Let’s see if Pink & Rose is up for the challenges that Michael Perry, aka Mr. Plantgeek, has for it.

Colour-changing Hydrangea paniculata
Pink & Rose undoubtedly stands out thanks to its unmeasurable strength. As if the strength isn’t enough, this unique new Hydrangea boasts pure flower power with big flowers on its incredibly strong branches. This Hydrangea paniculata surprises everyone with the colour change of the flower panicles. Starting off with creamy white in July, followed by a graduate blending from white to light pink tones in August, only to boost dark pink colours come September.

Plant Hydrangea Pink & Rose in well-drained, fertile soil in full sun to semi-shade. Prune in early spring and Pink & Rose will retain her upright habit, growing up to 130 cm high and 120 cm wide. This Hydrangea is extremely winter hardy and can withstand temperatures down to -30 ºC. Interested in growing this variety? Reach out!
