Four awards for Plantipp varieties at IPM 2026

 Four Plantipp varieties have received awards at IPM ESSEN 2026 in Essen. The international IPM jury recognised Yucca ‘French Flag’PBR, Clematis AMAZING® TOKYO, Cercis griffithii Blue Lagoon ('RAFMAR 1'PBR) and Ficus carica Fignomenal ('PT-DF-14'PBR) for their distinctive characteristics and market relevance. 

IPM Novelty winner category Perennials 

Yucca ‘French Flag’ was awarded in the perennial category. The jury highlighted its strong variegation, upright architectural habit and drought resistance. The variety delivers year-round visual impact and is well suited to contemporary gardens and containers, with added value for pollinators during its flowering period. 

IPM Novelty winner category Cut Flowers 

Clematis AMAZING®™ TOKYO received recognition in the cut flower category. The variety stood out for its sturdy stems, open flower form and consistent performance. Its controlled growth and reliability make it highly suitable for modern floristry and professional production. 

IPM Novelty winners category Woody Plants 

Cercis Blue Lagoon was awarded in the woody plants category. The jury praised its refined, balanced growth and distinctive blue-grey foliage. With early flowering and strong ornamental value, the variety offers seasonal interest and fits well within contemporary planting schemes. 

Ficus carica Fignomenal was also recognised in the woody plants category. Its extremely compact habit and strong performance both indoors and outdoors respond to growing demand for manageable, high-quality ornamental plants that combine visual appeal with practical use.
