With thousands of growers and buyers from garden centres, retail, and wholesale, hundreds of booths from both national and international growers and dozens of new plant varieties and products, PLANTARIUM|GROEN-Direkt promises to be another spectacular event the 21st and 22nd of August. 

 

Amongst all those representatives and registered novelties, Vitroflora, @Roots, Hopmans, Hoogeveen Plants and About Plants have added no less than nine novelties managed by Plantipp, all competing for the prestigious Best Novelty awards. 

 

Abundant, unique Hibiscus 

About Plants has registered several Hibiscus. Hibiscus Carousel Ghost ('Tahi2025') is the latest addition to the Hibiscus Carousel-series. Ghost features deeply incised and dark purple foliage, an abundance of large white flowers, a bushy growth habit and low maintenance. Hibiscus syriacus Little Legends Pink ('Samilhong') and Little Legends White ('Woojeon') are adored for their extremely dwarf habit and might just be the most compact Hibiscus syriacus on the market. The dwarf habit means that the Little Legends take up less space than other Hibiscus varieties, boasting all the Hibiscus beauty in a beautiful, compact form. The Little Legends are heat- and drought-tolerant, making them as strong as beautiful.

 

Incredible garden performance 

Agastache Beelicious Pink ('Agapk'PBR), registered by Vitroflora, truly stands out with its incredibly large, pink flower panicles, compact habit and exuberant flowering. Musa sikkimensis Ever Red ('Lou 1'PBR), registered by Hoogeveen Plants and  Van der Peijl, grows fast and vigorously and will show off its breathtaking striped green with maroon-red leaves before you know it and adds a tropical touch to any landscape. Heuchera Eternal Flame ('FJF 1811'), registered by Hopmans, sets the landscape on fire with fiery red foliage with lime-yellow margins and reddish-pink flower panicles in spring and summer. Its robust, compact structure make it a low-maintenance addition to any landscape. What's more, it's not susceptible to common plant diseases like powdery mildew and botrytis.
