Molinia caerula 'Banshee' PBR EU 20232301

Siergrassen

Description

Molinia Banshee is here to steal the show with flowers that boast graceful, airy flower spikes varying in colours from dark purple to red and a pink-like white. With orange-yellow flower stems in autumn, Banshee offers long garden interest - even its winter silhouette adds beauty.

Banshee boasts its flowers from June until the first frost - which is much appreciated by butterflies. Molinia Banshee is sea-wind and pollution tolerant, and if that’s not enough, it’s also tolerant to drought, heat and humidity and not susceptible to diseases. Do we still need to add that this variety is incredibly low maintenance? With an upright habit, Banshee is ideal for perennial borders, mass planting, coastal planting and makes for great (dried) cut flowers.

How to care for Molinia Banshee:
This perennial grass grows up to 100 cm high and 70 cm wide and prefers a spot in well-drained soil in full sun or partial shade. Banshee is hardy up to -23 ºC.
