As spring fades, gardeners look for plants that carry structure, colour and vitality through the heat of summer. The following varieties combine resilience with visual appeal, offering reliable performance and long-lasting impact.

Rosa Amirose®
Rosa Amirose® ('Korhulth 005'PBR) stands out with semi-double flowers that open from peach buds into soft pink blooms with a purple heart. The plant flowers for more than 175 days and retains its glossy foliage even in the heat. Its compact, spreading habit makes it a strong choice for containers and borders alike. Hardy to –18 °C and resistant to common rose diseases, Amirose® offers colour and health that last the entire season.

Rosmarinus Blue Cascade
Rosmarinus Blue Cascade ('Lowros3'PBR) lives up to its name. With arching, cascading branches and masses of blue flowers in spring and early summer, it brings both form and fragrance. The aromatic leaves have a hint of citrus and pine, while the plant’s trailing shape suits slopes, pots and mixed plantings. It thrives in full sun and well-drained soil, tolerating drought and temperatures down to –10 °C.

Dicentra ‘Passion Hearts’
This fern-leaf bleeding heart stands out with bicoloured flowers in dark rose pink and light rose pink hues. The finely dissected, blue-tinged foliage adds a sophisticated texture. Exceptionally floriferous, it delivers a long-lasting display across the growing season. It thrives in full sun to part shade with well-drained soils.

Hydrangea quercifolia ‘Tara’
Hydrangea quercifolia Tara ('BIV01'PBR) combines strength with elegance. Dense white flower panicles appear from late summer into autumn, maturing to bronze-red tones as the season changes. Its strong structure and good drought tolerance make it a dependable choice for gardeners and retailers seeking late-season display. Reaching around 100–125 cm high and wide, Tara thrives in fertile, well-drained soil and is hardy to –25 °C.

Together, these varieties carry the season from the last of spring’s freshness into deep summer. Each offers consistent growth, distinctive character and lasting decorative value. Proven genetics and reliable performance ensure success across gardens, planters and retail displays — true summer assets that keep delivering when others fade.
