Heesters
Description
The beautiful dwarf willow Salix integra ‘Flamingo’ is a sport from the well-known ´Hakuro-nishiki´. This compact, deciduous small tree boasts narrow leaves and shoots that emerge in beautiful deep pink colours in spring and mature to variegated hues of pink, creamy-white and green as the season continues. The branches droop slightly at the tips, giving Salix Flamingo an elegant, breezy, natural look.
Even after the sunny seasons, ‘Flamingo’ will put on an impressive colour show with orange-red branches - offering good winter colour and year-round interest. ‘Flamingo’ is very fast-growing and is suited for small gardens or stunning as a specimen plant, in small groups, on courtyard gardens, next to ponds or in a hedge border.
How to care for Salix ‘Flamingo’:
Plant Salix ‘Flamingo’ in moist but well-drained soil and full sun to partial shade. ‘Flamingo’ will grow up to 150 cm high and 250 cm wide and is hardy up to -15 ºC.
