Description

Pittosporum Pot Belly is a naturally compact evergreen shrub with smaller leaves than the regular Pittosporum crassifolium. The strong, healthy, glossy green leaves create a fresh appearance throughout the year. In late spring to early summer, the plant produces small pale yellow flowers with a subtle fragrance. Its dense evergreen foliage provides year-round structure and makes it an attractive addition to a wide range of garden styles.

This naturally rounded shrub has extensive basal branching and short internodes, creating an exceptionally dense habit with very little maintenance. Pittosporum Pot Belly has, once established, low water requirements and is wind, drought and coastal tolerant - making it ideal for borders, containers, low hedges and natural ball-shaped topiary, requiring only minimal trimming to maintain its neat shape.

Pittosporum Pot Belly prefers a spot in well-drained soil in full sun or partial shade and grows up to 100 to 120 cm high and wide. Hardy to around -7 °C.
