Shrubs

Description

Pieris Little Goldy is a wonderful addition to Pieris assortment. This compact, bossy shrub grows approx. 50 cm tall and wide and has interesting coloured foliage. The new shoots are pink-white and change to yellow variegated leaves. In summer, the foliage has a golden yellow glow and in autumn and winter it is green with a white edge. Year round colour! Little Goldy flowers in April-May with white flowers. These are attractive to insects so this early bloomer contributes to biodiversity. Little Goldy requires little maintenance. Pruning is not necessary, but if desired, pruning can be done after flowering. Little Goldy can be planted both in the full sun and the semi-shade in a rich, moist but well drained soil. This Pieris is great in the garden, the shrub border or in a pot on balcony or terrace. Hardy to -20 ºC.
