Description

Alta is a very slender, upward growing grandiflora-type. After 10 years he is about 3,5 m high and 1,5 m wide. In the summer it has striking, fragrant, white flowers. Without pruning Alta remains very slim and upward year after year. The plant can be pruned if necessary, preferably in the spring or summer. The Alta is very hardy and tolerates about -20 ºC. Alta keeps its foliage that is shiny and dark green. Grows well on sandy or clay soil in full sun or semi shade. This Alta is a new selection of the Magnolia grandiflora-type that mainly grows in countries around the Mediterranean. Alta has greatly improved characteristics that are well reflected in the colder climate zones of Central and Northern Europe!
