Lavandula stoechas Bella Toscane ('H 1116'PBR) EU 58433

Perennials

Description

The wonderfully compact Bella Toscane is the latest success in the Lavandula stoechas range. Compact in size, Bella Toscane boasts an incredible amount of large, dark purple flower panicles with the elegant flags typical for Lavandula stoechas. This self-branching, bushy variety flowers at a young age and more extravagantly and continuously than others. You’ll discover over 20 flowers on the smallest P12 plants!

Bella Toscane is easy to grow, attracts pollinators from far and wide and is the perfect Lavandula for garden borders, low hedges, cut flowers, mass planting, containers, balconies, mixed containers, wildlife gardens and fragrant gardens. This powerhouse is naturally very compact and will look powerful in pot sizes ranging from 9 cm to 15 cm. This beauty is climate-proof too: it can be grown in cold greenhouses, fits 7 to 9 layers on one trolley (making for easy and cost-effective transport) and has a high resistance against botrytis. As if that’s not enough, Bella Toscane has an extra-long shelf life as its flowers are not susceptible to browning.

How to care for Lavandula stoechas Bella Toscane:
Lavandula Bella Toscane will grow up to 25 cm high and 20 cm wide and prefers a spot in well-drained soil and (full) sun. This evergreen, pollinator-friendly Lavandula flowers throughout spring and summer and is hardy up to -10 ºC.
