The early-blooming, semi-double flowers of Clematis Sparkler first appear in May and June, showing off their striking red stamens. This strong, upright climbing plant can flower on old and new wood, making it suitable for a light prune in early spring. Clematis Sparkler is a climbing plant and will grow best in well-drained soil in full sun. Provide with trellis when planted in containers. Pruning can be done lightly in early spring, other than that Sparkler hardly requires any maintenance. Clematis Sparkler is hardy up to -15 ºC.
