The blossoms are a rich purple-blue with a darker purple stripe, measure 12-14 cm across and boast striking red anthers. The mid to deep green, dense foliage provides an ideal backdrop for its charming, ruffled flowers.

This beautiful large-flowered clematis is released in honour of Janet Evelyn Fookes, Baroness Fookes DBE DL, one of the first recipients of the Royal Horticultural Society’s new Elizabeth Medal of Honour.
