As the new season approaches, the planning of combinations that balance structure, colour, performance and long-term reliability starts. Three proven performers stand out for spring planting schemes: Choisya Scented Gem, Buddleja Little Rockstars®, and Magnolia Emperor. Together, they offer a strong mix of evergreen form, flowering performance, and visual impact.

Choisya Scented Gem

This compact evergreen variety provides lasting structure and a clean, refined look throughout the year. Its glossy, dark-green foliage forms a naturally rounded shape that fits well in mixed borders or as a low hedge. In spring, pink buds open into fragrant white flowers, with a second bloom often appearing in late summer. Choisya Scented Gem ('Lissbrid'PBR) combines ornamental value with high durability: winter-hardy to around –15 °C, resistant to wind, and tolerant of urban conditions. It offers consistency and low maintenance—a reliable evergreen with strong consumer appeal.

Buddleja Little Rockstars®

The Little Rockstars® series delivers intense colour and pollinator value in a small format. Reaching only 40–50 cm in height and width, these compact shrubs are ideal for urban gardens, containers, and smaller spaces. The flowers appear continuously from summer into autumn in vibrant shades of violet, pink, purple, red, and white. The series is highly floriferous, drought-tolerant, and attractive to butterflies—making it both decorative and ecologically valuable. It offers uniform production and easy handling - an eye-catching, space-efficient series with long flowering potential.

Magnolia Emperor

Magnolia Emperor ('MGEMP2012'PBR) brings a statement impact. Large, deep-pink tulip-shaped flowers—up to 20–30 cm wide—emerge in spring and can rebloom in summer. Over the course of ten years, the plant reaches approximately 5 m in height and 3.5 m in width, giving it a distinct presence as a focal tree or feature shrub. Strong branching, rich green foliage, and impressive bloom size make this variety ideal for premium garden or landscape projects that require structure and distinction.

Together, they create a professional planting mix that balances aesthetics, practicality, and market demand—meeting the highest expectations for quality, resilience, and visual performance.
