BOSKOOP, the Netherlands – Plantipp is proud to announce that 10 varieties from its portfolio were recognized during the novelty inspection at PLANTARIUM|GROEN-Direkt 2026, reinforcing the company's role in bringing exceptional new plant genetics from breeders to the global horticultural market.
The highest honor among Plantipp-represented introductions went to Hosta ‘Silly String,’ which was awarded a Gold Medal by the Royal Boskoop Horticultural Society (KVBC). Bred by Walters Gardens and represented by Plantipp throughout Europe, ‘Silly String’ impressed judges with its distinctive ornamental qualities and strong commercial appeal.
In addition to the Gold Medal winner, Plantipp-represented varieties earned four Silver Medals and five Bronze Medals, demonstrating the depth and quality of innovation across the company's international breeding network.
