Alongside Groundbreaker® Blush and Groundbreaker® Ruby, we proudly welcome another special and revolutionary new Hydrangea paniculata to the range: Groundbreaker® Greeny. What makes this spectacular Hydrangea so unique is its compact, low growth habit and remarkably rich branching. . The breeder has used genetics to create a plant that grows more in width than in height. Groundbreaker® Greeny grows to a maximum height of 60 cm. A new era has begun in which paniculatas are not only beautiful shrubs but can also be used as ground covers.

This ground-covering Hydrangea blooms for about 100 days and is completely covered from July to November with attractive green flowers that form simultaneously and blanket the plant like a green carpet. Its compact, low growth makes Groundbreaker® Greeny the ideal Hydrangea for pots on patios, balconies, terraces, or even as a table centrepiece in the garden. This size is of course perfect for small gardens, borders, ground cover, and mass planting in private or public green spaces.

How to care for Hydrangea Groundbreaker® Greeny:
Groundbreaker® Greeny grows to about 40 cm high and 80 cm wide, prefers full sun and well-drained soil. If pruned between November and April, you will be rewarded every summer with a spectacular sea of flowers. Hydrangea paniculata Groundbreaker® Greeny is hardy down to -30 ºC.
