Opis

Chaenomeles Lemon Sorbet is an exceptional ornamental quince with very large, uniquely coloured semi-double flowers that open greenish-yellow, shift to soft lemon yellow, and fade to white. Blooming heavily in early spring on bare stems and again in autumn on mature plants, Lemon Sorbet brings colour and life when little else is flowering. Greenish ornamental fruits follow the display in autumn. With almost no thorns and a self-branching, vigorous habit, it grows well as a loose shrub or trained informally against a wall to show off its spectacular blooms.

Lemon Sorbet is highly attractive to pollinators and is especially valuable early in the season. This variety thrives with ease and requires minimal care. Its trouble-free nature, abundance of flowers, vigorous growth and elegant colour changes make it a standout choice for adding long-lasting interest and wildlife appeal to the garden. Ideal for hedging, mass planting, as garden plant, trained against a wall or for bee-friendly gardens.

How to care for Chaenomeles Lemon Sorbet:
Chaenomeles Lemon Sorbet grows up to 2m high and wide and prefers a spot in average, well-drained soil in full sun to partial shade, though it prefers full sun. This deciduous shrub blooms on old wood, and is hardy up to -20 ºC.
