Just a few more days and it is time for the 34th edition of the GrootGroenPlus tradefair in Zundert, where nurseries, dealers, manufacturers and many suppliers from amongst others the Netherlands and Belgium will bring visitors up to date with the latest developments in the industry. We can expect many spectacular novelty introductions this year.
Uitdewilligen will present the stunning Hibiscus syriacus Flower Tower Ruby ('Gandini van Aart Ruby'PBR), as the name implies, Flower Tower Ruby has a narrow, ascending, columnar growth habit and is therefore very suitable for the smaller garden. But with the beautiful dark pink-red, half-filled flowers with red hearts that ocntinuously flower from late July to early October, Flower Tower Ruby is an asset in any garden, on balcony or terrace or as a hedge.
At Hoogenraad visitors will be able to see two spectacular new plants: Lavandula intermedia Sensational! ('Tesseract'PBR), which stands out with its sensationally large and intense-purple flower spikes on a compact habit, and Pennisetum alopecuroides 'Tiny Twinkler' PBR, a very compact, stunning Pennisetum with a remarkably neat growth habit and extremely abundant flowering.
About Plants and Hoogenraad will proudly show the stunning Choisya Scented Gem ('Lissbrid'PBR), with shiny, dark-green leaves and masses of scented, pink-white flowers contribute on a rounded habit. Whereas both Asra and Spilkers will present the impressive Cornus kousa Flower Tower ('ZuilB1'PBR), a beautiful variety with an upright and columnar growth habit, exuberant flowering in May-June and scarlet red foliage throughout autumn.
