Astelia Red Shadow has beautiful, copper red coloured foliage. It is a compact plant that grows straight up and becomes about 80 cm high and wide. It is a nice addition to the perennial border but also very suitable for mass planting, as an accent plant, for a Mediterranean garden or for pot on the balcony or terrace. Plant Red Shadow in a well-drained, not too heavy soil. Red Shadow can be placed both in the full sun and in the semi-shade but prefers the sun. Hardy to -5 ºC. It is recommended to protect the plant at colder temperatures.
