Opis

The increasingly popular Indian hawthorn is slowly taking over garden centres worldwide. Bred by Wout van den Dool, Rhaphiolepis indica ‘White Cloud’ is ready to take the market by storm. With glossy, dark green leaves and fragrant, star-shaped white flowers, this beautiful Indian hawthorn will make its pink-flowered family members fade to the background.

‘White Cloud’ might not be the first white-flowered Rhaphiolepis, but she’s definitely the most abundantly flowering. Not only does she flower for an extended period; but she also keeps her flowers for weeks in a row. With a well-branched, bushy habit and improved winter hardiness compared to umbellata, this shrub is sure to set new records.

How to care for Rhaphiolepis White Cloud
This beautiful white-flowered shrub produces masses of flowers from April to June followed by black berries. She will grow up to 1 m high and wide after five years and prefers a spot in full sun or partial shade with some protection from strong winds. Pruning is possible, but not necessary for this low-maintenance evergreen. ‘White Cloud’ will thrive as a garden plant, but looks stunning in pots and containers as well.
