Mad about Mangave® varieties are fast growers. Once they have reached the desired size, water sparingly. Mangaves thrive in a sunny spot, where their vibrant colours and distinctive leaf patterns develop to their fullest. Mad about Mangave® looks stunning as a specimen plant in a pot or container and is also perfect for mixed succulent arrangements. Plant Mad about Mangave® in well-drained soil. Ideal for patios, balconies, or as a houseplant. Hardy down to -5 °C, it is best to bring the plant indoors during the winter months, allowing you to continue enjoying it inside as well.

A common nickname for Mars is the Red Planet, and this Mangave gets its nickname due to the unique, intense red coloration from the leaves. The thick green leaves are heavily speckled with burgundy red, with spots that bleed into each other for an overall red appearance.  The leaves form an arching habit, caused by the tips of the leaves curving downward. Margins curl upward to show off its cinnamon spines, a nice colour complement to the red.
